"World Storytelling Day is a global celebration of the art of oral storytelling. It is celebrated every year on the March equinox, on March 20" - As part of this, we encourage all volunteers and students of Samskrita Bharati as well as other Samskritam enthusiasts in the US, Canada and the UK to video-record any story in Samskritam and upload the video on their own YouTube channel.

World Story Telling Day = someone tells a story and the listener can see the person, his/her expressions etc. Stand in front of a camera (or phone) and make a video recording of (or have another family member record you) telling the story. While doing so, assume that the whole wide world is intently listening to your story in Samskritam. Recording is good, bad, or ugly - just don't bother (you can if you have the time and necessary patience and skills to re-record, edit etc). Just upload with the hashtags suggested. With this experience, you will know what to do next time around. Tip for recording - video recording can be done in one's own free ZOOM account.

Please note - Graphics/pictures with voice dubbing (aka 'story illustration') can never be a true substitute for facial expressions, hand movements, etc that are part of an entertaining 'story telling' session.
